Disney Rental
Is a Disney Rental Property Really
Easier and Less Expensive?

illions of families, couples, and individuals
travel to the Walt Disney World area each year. For many, a stay in a themed Disney
hotel is the highlight of the trip. But for those who don't care for hotel stays,
there are many other options such as renting a property for your vacation. Disney
rental properties aren't difficult to find and vacationers who prefer the amenities
of a rental over a hotel or motel won't be disappointed with the choices.
Traditionally, a Disney rental will offer a weekly rate for vacationers, though you may find a few that offer less than a week, especially in off-peak season. Though rates might seem high at first, most renters will agree that money is saved in the long run by choosing a Disney rental over a Disney-area hotel.
The majority of Disney rentals will feature full kitchens with cooking areas that allow vacationers to prepare their own meals. In an area that's known for its expensive food, the ability to make simple meals for your family will result in a substantial savings. Refrigerators allow you to keep milk and formula cold for little ones and an onsite microwave or oven allows for preparing quick snacks or heating up frozen meals.
Many also enjoy the privacy of a Disney rental. Whereas hotel stays usually involve shared rooms and just one bathroom, a rental property features private bedrooms and often multiple bathrooms, as well as a separate living area for watching TV or just stretching out after a long day at the park.
Disney rental properties are designed to fit a wide variety of budgets. Condominiums are plentiful in the Orlando area, many constructed specifically as vacation properties. Disney visitors can choose from something as small and affordable as a studio apartment or as large as a 3 or 4 bedroom unit. Choosing a Disney rental at a condominium development will often include the opportunity to take advantage of amenities such as pools, game rooms, tennis courts, and other things similar to what you'd find at a hotel.
Budget-minded travelers hoping to save a little more money sometimes choose a Disney rental that's a bit off-the-beaten-track. If you're willing to drive a little to reach the parks and other attractions, you might decide to choose a rental that's removed from the really touristy areas near Walt Disney World. You'll often be rewarded with not only a better price, but also a prettier view and quieter location.
If budget isn't a concern, there are a number of larger Disney rentals available close to the parks. From townhouses to larger single-family homes and luxurious villas, higher priced rentals generally provide all the comforts of home as well as close proximity to Walt Disney World and other Orlando attractions. A large Disney rental may even be appropriate for small groups or extended families traveling together; offering multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, large living areas, dining rooms for family meals, decks or patios for relaxing in the sun, and even private pools and spas.
Ultimate Disney World Savings Guide
A few people have asked me about Beth Haworth's book "Ultimate Disney World Savings Guide", and were wondering what my take on it was. Given my reputation as a well known writer on the topic of Disney World, they thought I could give a fairly honest review.
So I clicked on over to Beth's website and snatched a copy for $30. I sat down and read it from "cover-to-cover" immediately.
Now keep in mind I already have extensive notes on saving money in Disney World, and I already have a pretty good list of the best hotels and restaurants. So I wasn't really sure what to expect.
But this book really impressed me.
It was well written, easy to read, and very comprehensive. The book was jam-packed with tips and inside information about places to go, things to see, the best attractions, restaurants, hotels... you name it, it's in there. It was also consistent with all of the things I already figured out from my own vacationing, and it also gave me some great new tips and tricks.
So now, I can finally give an honest recommendation for this book. I really loved it and it was worth every penny. The tips in the book allowed me to save about $550 dollars on my last weekend getaway.
You can grab a copy of Beth's Guide for only $30. It's available on her website and can be downloaded immediately. It's highly recommended for anyone who is interested in travelling to Disney. Even if you only on intend on going to Disney World once, it will not only save you time and money, it will also make your experience much more enjoyable.
Whatever you decide, be safe and most of all, enjoy your trip!
