Disney Magic
How "Disney Magic" Has Become
More than Just a Feeling

hile to some, "Disney Magic" represents a feeling you get
when surrounded by all things Disney, to those who've sailed the seas on a Disney cruise, the Disney Magic is an incredible cruise ship
experience that provides wonder and whimsy for everyone who steps onboard.
The Disney Magic was the first ship to be built for Disney Cruises (the Wonder came a few years later) and has been highly-acclaimed for its beauty, spaciousness, and the many amenities that make sailing on this ship a true pleasure. With its first sailing in 1998, the Disney Magic brought a whole new meaning to the words "family cruise." A cruise aboard this ship is truly an adventure for all ages, from toddler to senior citizen.
For kids, the most important features on the Disney Magic are the many things that specifically make their trip enjoyable. That includes kids-only areas where the younger set can play, explore, or just hang-out while Mom and Dad are enjoying some much needed rest and relaxation. Kids pre-school age to age 7 simply love the Oceaneer Club, where they can enjoy lots of interactive play with highly-trained Disney crew who are well-versed in working with little ones. Most kids want to spend their whole day at the Disney Magic Oceaneer Club, enjoying games, music, crafts, art projects, movies, and much more.
Older kids will head to the Disney Magic Oceaneer Lab, designed for youth age 8 to 12. Here they'll participate in hands-on experiments, enjoy themed parties, listen to great music, watch favorite movies, and meet lots of new friends. For teens, Stack and Aloft are the places to be. Especially designed with the travel wants of teens in mind, these two areas boast internet cafes, age-appropriate video games, and much more.
Of course, on the Disney Magic there's something for everyone, so parents (or those traveling without children) won't be disappointed. Many opt for a romantic dinner at Palo, a candlelit world-class floating restaurant for adults only, featuring five-star cuisine that's out-of-this-world. There are also adult-only pools where mature guests can avoid the water antics of little ones and other areas of the ship where kids aren't allowed.
If you're looking for a little pampering while aboard the Disney Magic, visit the ship's exquisite spa. You'll experience marvelous treatments that will make you feel fresh and renewed. Don't forget to also make a stop at the salon, for a new haircut, or a relaxing manicure or pedicure. Disney Magic has everything adults need for an enjoyable vacation on the high seas.
The Disney Magic offers a number of different cruises. Guests can embark on a 3- or 4-night Bahamian cruise or choose a longer excursion to the Eastern or Western Caribbean. The cruise line has recently added a handful of 10-day Mediterranean cruises to its list of choices, so interested travelers can spend a few extra days on the marvelous Disney Magic. A 14-night eastbound or westbound Transatlantic Cruise aboard the Disney Magic has also been added this year. Cruises can also be combined with a few days at Walt Disney World in Florida.
Ultimate Disney World Savings Guide
A few people have asked me about Beth Haworth's book "Ultimate Disney World Savings Guide", and were wondering what my take on it was. Given my reputation as a well known writer on the topic of Disney World, they thought I could give a fairly honest review.
So I clicked on over to Beth's website and snatched a copy for $30. I sat down and read it from "cover-to-cover" immediately.
Now keep in mind I already have extensive notes on saving money in Disney World, and I already have a pretty good list of the best hotels and restaurants. So I wasn't really sure what to expect.
But this book really impressed me.
It was well written, easy to read, and very comprehensive. The book was jam-packed with tips and inside information about places to go, things to see, the best attractions, restaurants, hotels... you name it, it's in there. It was also consistent with all of the things I already figured out from my own vacationing, and it also gave me some great new tips and tricks.
So now, I can finally give an honest recommendation for this book. I really loved it and it was worth every penny. The tips in the book allowed me to save about $550 dollars on my last weekend getaway.
You can grab a copy of Beth's Guide for only $30. It's available on her website and can be downloaded immediately. It's highly recommended for anyone who is interested in travelling to Disney. Even if you only on intend on going to Disney World once, it will not only save you time and money, it will also make your experience much more enjoyable.
Whatever you decide, be safe and most of all, enjoy your trip!
