Disney Land Paris

The Different Parks and Attractions of
Disney Land Paris

alt Disney and his movies, the Disney characters, and the Disney theme parks are loved the world over. That's why the Disney Corporation chose to also build parks outside of the United States. The first such park was Disney Land Paris, once known as Euro Disney.

Disney Land Paris has been a hit with individuals and families throughout Europe, allowing them to experience the magic without expensive costs involved in traveling to the U.S. from certain parts of the world.

Though Disney Land Paris had been a concept in the minds of Disney Imagineers since 1975, the gates of the park didn't open until April 1992. Euro Disney got off to a slow start, but by 1994, when the name was changed to Disney Land Paris (in order to create a closer link to the city), the park started to live up to the Disney organization's expectations. Today, Disney Land Paris is booming, with more than a half-dozen Disney hotels on the premises and 2 parks that attract visitors of all ages.

Disneyland Park boasts four separate themed areas as well as Main Street U.S.A., a small-town avenue where you can grab an ice cream cone or shop for souvenirs. The four areas featured in Disney Land Paris are Discoveryland, Fantasyland, Adventureland, and Frontierland.

Discoveryland is akin to Tomorrowland in the U.S. parks. Here you'll find such favorites as Space Mountain Mission 2, Star Tours, Autopia, and Nautilus. You can also catch some special shows in this area and enjoy space-age foods, like orbit burgers.

Fantasyland is full of attractions that are particularly Disney-esque. Visitors who choose this area can experience It's a Small World, Alice in Wonderland, Pinocchio's Journey, Peter Pan's Flight, and many other favorites. Little children love this part of Disney Land Paris!

Adventureland will introduce visitors to the perils of Indiana Jones and allow guests to come face-to-face with the Pirates of the Caribbean while Frontierland takes you to Phantom Manor (The Haunted Mansion) and the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

At Disney Land Paris' other park, The Walt Disney Studios Park, you'll be treated to many of the same attractions that are enjoyed at MGM Studios in Walt Disney World, such as The Art of Animation, the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, and the Studio Tram Backlot Tour. When you need a break from the rides, the entertainment here is excellent. Don't miss the Stunt Show Spectacular or the amazing world of Animagique.

Hotels at Disney Land Paris are categorized according to budget and amenities. Deluxe hotels include Disneyland Hotel and Disney's Hotel New York, offering extraordinary service and luxurious amenities. Themed mid-range hotels include the Newport Bay Club and Sequoia Lodge. Value resorts, dubbed "big on fun, small on rates", are perfect for travelers on a budget and include the Hotel Santa Fe, Hotel Cheyenne, and the Davy Crockett Ranch.

There's also a Downtown Disney area full of restaurants, night spots, and shopping and active guests can enjoy a round of golf, play a game of tennis, or participate in a number of fun and exciting watersports. In the winter, you can even skate on an outdoor ice rink.

Disney Land Paris is a fun and exciting destination for travelers from all around the world and offers guests a true Disney experience. Consider an exciting trip to the City of Lights with a stop at this amazing Disney resort.

Ultimate Disney World Savings Guide

A few people have asked me about Beth Haworth's book "Ultimate Disney World Savings Guide", and were wondering what my take on it was. Given my reputation as a well known writer on the topic of Disney World, they thought I could give a fairly honest review.

So I clicked on over to Beth's website and snatched a copy for $30. I sat down and read it from "cover-to-cover" immediately.

Now keep in mind I already have extensive notes on saving money in Disney World, and I already have a pretty good list of the best hotels and restaurants. So I wasn't really sure what to expect.

But this book really impressed me.

It was well written, easy to read, and very comprehensive. The book was jam-packed with tips and inside information about places to go, things to see, the best attractions, restaurants, hotels... you name it, it's in there. It was also consistent with all of the things I already figured out from my own vacationing, and it also gave me some great new tips and tricks.

So now, I can finally give an honest recommendation for this book. I really loved it and it was worth every penny. The tips in the book allowed me to save about $550 dollars on my last weekend getaway.

You can grab a copy of Beth's Guide for only $30. It's available on her website and can be downloaded immediately. It's highly recommended for anyone who is interested in travelling to Disney. Even if you only on intend on going to Disney World once, it will not only save you time and money, it will also make your experience much more enjoyable.

Whatever you decide, be safe and most of all, enjoy your trip!
