A Few Tips to Keep in Mind When Planning a
Trip to Disney FL

trip to Disney FL is a dream that many individuals and families hope to fulfill. It can also be quite a costly proposition but with the proper planning, all your magic Disney wishes can come true.

A Disney FL vacation is most affordable when you make it a long-range plan and do a little advanced research as to the options available to you on your trip to Orlando. There are many ways to save money on a Disney FL trip but you'll need to take some time to find the cost-saving options that will assist you without changing your perception of the ideal vacation too much.

Are you flexible? If so, perhaps you might consider taking your Disney FL vacation during Disney's designated value seasons, such as during the months of January or September. Since this is the time when fewer visitors head to Orlando, hotel prices are lower and many additional perks are offered.

If money spent on meals and other extras is a concern, consider a Disney FL area rental instead of an expensive hotel on the Disney property. These accommodations often turn out to be cheaper than hotels, offering multiple bedrooms and baths, and usually include a kitchen where you can prepare meals or at least store food for a quick and easy breakfast or snack. Most Disney FL rentals include amenities such as pools and game rooms.

While it's fun to be in a Disney World hotel located on the Disney premises, there are plenty of lower priced hotels/motels located literally outside the Disney gates. These Disney FL lodging options can often be obtained at quite an inexpensive rate, cutting your costs substantially.

Are you concerned about the price of Disney admission tickets? You can save money on tickets, too, if you take time to explore the options. Check out the web for discount park tickets before you head to Disney FL and, chances are, you'll save several dollars per ticket. Discount coupons are available for a number of other Disney FL local attractions and services, including restaurants.

If you're flying to Disney FL, keep your eye on airfares. If you plan far enough ahead, you can grab affordable airfares as soon as they come available, as long as they pertain to your trip dates. Again, if you're flexible, you can determine the dates of your trip in accordance with the availability of cheap airfares. Consider comparison shopping at some of the online travel clearinghouses.

The same is true for rental cars. Keep your eyes open for good deals and shop rental car companies which have offices in the Disney FL airport (Orlando International) for competitive rates.

Once you've arrived in Disney FL, resist the temptation to buy the first souvenirs you see and, instead, shop for things that will be special to you or your children, such as autograph books for collecting the signatures of the Disney characters or collector's books that tell the history of Walt Disney World. These are things you'll treasure for years to come and they'll last much longer than a t-shirt!

Dreams can be affordable! When you take the time to trim some costs, you can enjoy a worry-free Disney FL vacation, knowing that you've planned the best vacation ever without breaking the bank.

Ultimate Disney World Savings Guide

A few people have asked me about Beth Haworth's book "Ultimate Disney World Savings Guide", and were wondering what my take on it was. Given my reputation as a well known writer on the topic of Disney World, they thought I could give a fairly honest review.

So I clicked on over to Beth's website and snatched a copy for $30. I sat down and read it from "cover-to-cover" immediately.

Now keep in mind I already have extensive notes on saving money in Disney World, and I already have a pretty good list of the best hotels and restaurants. So I wasn't really sure what to expect.

But this book really impressed me.

It was well written, easy to read, and very comprehensive. The book was jam-packed with tips and inside information about places to go, things to see, the best attractions, restaurants, hotels... you name it, it's in there. It was also consistent with all of the things I already figured out from my own vacationing, and it also gave me some great new tips and tricks.

So now, I can finally give an honest recommendation for this book. I really loved it and it was worth every penny. The tips in the book allowed me to save about $550 dollars on my last weekend getaway.

You can grab a copy of Beth's Guide for only $30. It's available on her website and can be downloaded immediately. It's highly recommended for anyone who is interested in travelling to Disney. Even if you only on intend on going to Disney World once, it will not only save you time and money, it will also make your experience much more enjoyable.

Whatever you decide, be safe and most of all, enjoy your trip!
