Our family just got back from our Disney World Cruise. It was incredible. If you plan to take a Disney World Cruise at some point in the future I wrote an article that talks about the different things you'll experience on the Cruise.

A Disney World Cruise can be a lot of fun. Especially if you take your family with you. If you want to read the Cruise article you can find it at Disney World Cruise.

The Many Choices You'll have When Selecting
Disney Costumes

hat child doesn't love to play dress-up? And when it gives them the opportunity to pretend to be their favorite Disney character, that makes it even more special! Walk around Walt Disney World and you'll see dozens upon dozens of kids donning their favorite Disney costumes, hoping to meet the character they're dressed as and have their picture taken with him/her. Miniature Snow Whites, Cinderellas, and Buzz Lightyears are everywhere, thanks to the clever Disney costumes sold in and around the park and in Disney stores worldwide.

Many of us equate Disney costumes with Halloween. As a matter of fact, more Disney characters show up at your front door on the October holiday than ghosts and witches combined. Kids have a huge number of wonderful Disney costumes from which to choose. Babies can dress as something cuddly, like Winnie the Pooh, while toddlers and pre-schoolers often opt for the likes of Mickey or Minnie Mouse.

Girls of all ages love to be Disney princesses on Halloween and can choose from both classic and contemporary Disney ladies, including Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine, Belle, and Ariel. There are even some who opt for the wicked villainesses in the Disney films, like Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmatians or Sleeping Beauty's Malificent.

Boys won't have quite as large a selection of Disney costumes as the girls but will have plenty to choose from nonetheless. The characters from Toy Story - like Buzz and Woody, or Monsters Inc. - such as Mike or Sully, are quite popular with the boys. Younger boys will enjoy classic characters like Tigger, Goofy, or Donald Duck.

Disney costumes, of course, aren't limited to Halloween. Many children have an entire trunk full of costumes that allow them to enjoy imaginative play all year long. Kids love playing make-believe with each other, putting on plays, and singing tunes from their favorite Disney films. Role-playing is an important part of growing up and Disney costumes allow this sort of activity to happen each and every day.

Disney costumes can be quite affordable, depending on the time of year that you purchase them. Of course, they'll be the most expensive at Halloween or if you try to purchase a Disney costume that corresponds with a movie that was just released. The Disney Stores often have sales on costumes that might be deemed out-of-date (perhaps from an older movie), but if your child loves that character, he or she won't care when the movie was released! Check the sale racks occasionally for good buys on Disney costumes.

Often, Disney costumes can be purchased used from online auction sites or handy moms can even sew Disney costumes, made from authentic Disney patterns distributed by popular pattern makers like Simplicity or McCalls. Those who are versed in the basics of sewing may be able to save some money on Disney costumes by making their own.

Ultimate Disney World Savings Guide

A few people have asked me about Beth Haworth's book "Ultimate Disney World Savings Guide", and were wondering what my take on it was. Given my reputation as a well known writer on the topic of Disney World, they thought I could give a fairly honest review.

So I clicked on over to Beth's website and snatched a copy for $30. I sat down and read it from "cover-to-cover" immediately.

Now keep in mind I already have extensive notes on saving money in Disney World, and I already have a pretty good list of the best hotels and restaurants. So I wasn't really sure what to expect.

But this book really impressed me.

It was well written, easy to read, and very comprehensive. The book was jam-packed with tips and inside information about places to go, things to see, the best attractions, restaurants, hotels... you name it, it's in there. It was also consistent with all of the things I already figured out from my own vacationing, and it also gave me some great new tips and tricks.

So now, I can finally give an honest recommendation for this book. I really loved it and it was worth every penny. The tips in the book allowed me to save about $550 dollars on my last weekend getaway.

You can grab a copy of Beth's Guide for only $30. It's available on her website and can be downloaded immediately. It's highly recommended for anyone who is interested in travelling to Disney. Even if you only on intend on going to Disney World once, it will not only save you time and money, it will also make your experience much more enjoyable.

Whatever you decide, be safe and most of all, enjoy your trip!
